The Planter vessel is designed to actively consider an object’s erosion from everyday use, with the initial construction of a planter then finished with a raku crackle glaze.

While the Raku-fired raw stoneware and gloss glaze wear smoothly and consistently, the crackle glaze applied to the base and inside of the vessel will continue to change, crack, and expose additional speckles of stoneware.
